That is beautiful enough to convert me to single shot rifles!!! I find it hard to believe that craftsmen of that skill level have difficulty earning a decent living in our modern economy. It is truly a shame. Congratulations to Mr. Joubert for creating a world class piece of art.

Nice gun. Worth $25,000 US? Not in my opinion; more like $4500.

For $25K, I could get a Searcy Double and add $13K in engraving and inlays and have a gun that's practical for DG, instead of an embellished Ruger #1.

Flameproof suit on!

Nick, that is very nice. I guess hand craftsmanship hasn't died down yet. Looks like the fore-arm and butt-stock were cut from the same piece of wood. Got to agree with George though; if I had that kind of disposable income, I'd get a set of Searcy's for that price.

Fellers with that kind of disposable income don't make choices, they just spend it! Work of Art? By Gadfrey, it is!

Very nice, but I think I'd prefer a Martini & Hagn for less money.

George:

You get the Searcy and I'll add the 13 k in engraving.

Sarge, I hear you. An old English set of doubles would be on the dream list also.

Alf, don't get your skivvies in an uproar. Nobody is saying that this man doesn't do great work. In fact, he is showing off some exquisite work with some beautiful wood to boot. It's just that for that price there are other things to get for shooters. If anyone buys something exquisite like that, it would be a safe queen and never see the light of day again.

Amazing looking rifle. I agree with the others though, I think you would be better off to spend that sort of money on a double, you could get a very nice used english double for that. Put an extra barrel on it and I'd buy it anyday.
