Is there anyone here who can put up some photos for me?

I have some jpegs of pages out of "Big Game and Big Game Rifles" that would tend to support the theory that Pondoro was "somewhat of a bullshitter".

Although I did mention this to my Irish friend, Bob, who said "What do you expect? - he's fucking Irish."

Pondora may have been a bull shitter, I don't know but I do know he put a hell of a lot of animals in the salt in his lifetime, and deserves the respect for sharing his life with all of us..I liked his writing. I have heard this about all the old hunters of yesteryear. I write it off as jealousy for the most part.

I agree the .375 H&H is, if you can shoot, a awesome caliber that is fully capable of killing anything on this planet. The bullets of yesterday were not all bad, some were good and some were bad. today they are all good, that is the difference. I recall in my early days the Silvertips were hot and cold, they kept changing the good one for improved bad ones..The Rem corelokts have always been good, as have the Woodleighs. Going back to about 1940 anyway.
