308_TIKKANeed suggestions for airline travel rifle case
ANyone have a favorite rifle case for airline travel. I would like to spend less than 150$ So that eliminates pelican/browning although those are really high quality

holland465I use an aluminum case that is made by KK Air. I have taken this case all over the world and have never experienced any damage to the firearms inside. It is a very heavy case with a long rod that slides through holes that have been drilled through the hasps of each fastner, ( there are three) and they are held in place by padlocks.

T.Carr308_Tikka,
I will sell you a used Browning Travel Vault (2 gun) for a $125 plus shipping. You will need to buy the middle foam rubber pad to cut fit your rifles (you might get by with the middle foam it has now, it was cut to fit two light weight rifles).
I have a Tuffpak now, so I don't need the Browning.
Regards,
Terry
P.S.
I also have takedown size Browning Travel Vault, if anyone is interested.

PathfinderMe Too. "Tuffpak" is the ticket and I tried everything from plastic to aluminum flat cases. The tuffpac cost a little more but are the best for all my travel needs.

HunterJimI also use the TuffPak now, after using more conventional metal cases. Yes, they cost more, but I feel they are worth more.
Also I know Bob and Debbie Kaplan the owners of the company that makes the TuffPak, and they are great people who support hunting and shooting. Both are active in our local SCI Chapter here in San Diego.
