416 Rgby loads for 300 gr barnes

416 Rgby loads for 300 gr barnes
Does anyone have pet loads for the rigby using 300 gr bullets? I could find only one load, using IMR 4320, giving about 2900 fps. I am hoping to use my Rigby for plains game and buff/tuskless elly on a one gun safari

Finally WORKED!! rifles are, from top to bottom, 404 jeffrey, 505 gibbs, and 416 rigby

If you are the guy looking for the bottom metal for the Remington 721 please contact me @ kailuacustom@msn.com and use a real email address as my computer has some problem recognizing the AR thingy as a good address and it gets erased.

In my Ruger no1 I used Re19. about 100gr was a start. I went with the now gone 325's but see the tsx is coming back in 300gr so I will try these in my RSM.

Haven't used the 300.

Have used the old 350 gr X bullet. 98 gr of IMR 4350 on Norma cases with Fed 215 primers yield 2700 fps from a CZ 550 Safari Mag.

Killed Gemsbock, Hartebeast, Cape Buffalo and Bison with no problems!

I'd not go much lighter than 350s for Cape Buffalo.
