<Jon Sabo>Barnes Headstamp
I have 40 new brass cases in .375 Weatherby. The only headstamp on the case is "Barnes Ammo". I have never seen this before and am wondering who makes the cases? I am interested in selling them but have no idea what they are worth. Thanks for any help.

RIPJon,
This headstamp ("Barnes Ammo") is of the original Barnes Basic that is a 375 H&H basic case for the "Barnes Supreme" line of cartridges. You can find the cartridges in the P.O. Ackley Handbook.
As best I can surmise, this brass was made into the 1980's but not since Fred Barnes sold the company to Randy & Conni Brooks.
I heard once that it was made by Winchester/Olin for the original Barnes Bullet company to load their proprietary line of cartridges, and/or offer to shooters to roll their own.
I have 200 of these cases that I bought in the 1980's, and they still look good, having been fireformed into 416 Barnes Supreme and 450 Barnes Supreme in my rifles.
I have also used it for 458 Lott brass, until I could get the BeLL and Hornady stuff lately.
If these are formed into 375 Weatherby, then someone has fireformed them, I guess.
