Bill SovernsSee what Stuart recommends.

new_guySome prefer "cut" rifling over "button" rifling, but you really can't go wrong with any you mentioned. They all make good barrels.

FAST996I think Stuart uses Lothar Walther. If you have a different preferance, let's say Krieger or Pederson, that should be fine.
I might add that Lothar has a 5130 contour which is a mauser type and a 5125 which is a Holland type. Both are good choices. I prefer the Holland.

That's Lothar's number code for the specific contour. If you go to the web site and toggle factory duplication contours they will be listed under Mauser and Holland. There are slight differences in using either one, as far as mounting rear sights. If you go to the Satterlee web site, the rifle pictured at the top is a 5130 and the 416 rigby pictured is a Holland I beleive.

ForrestBIt may be a moot question. I have a Krieger barrel waiting on a Satterlee action. Personally, I like cut rifle barrels but any of the makers mentioned could probably produce something suitable for a 416.

RustyLothar-Walther USA barrels are great. I own several. 404 Jeffery and 257 Roberts.
Woody and his crew in Cummings GA. turn out a quality product.

FAST996There are more options to choose from. Why not a integral barrel? This one is a Krieger machined by GMA going on a Satterlee. This barrel is a Holland contour. Of course you will have to dig a little deeper but it's only money.
