When are they coming out with a .416 Hushpuppy Flanged?
Point-blank 200-yard range on man-sized targets: Aim at head, hit in toe.
Hilarious cartridge there. rotflmo

The flanged round could be a necked up and improved 38/40 Win.

I must be missing something here...
Just what is the allure to these types of cartridges?

Special ops and other "tactical" users. Maximum energy, easily suppressed and fits in the AR platform.

Lots of guys around TX seem to love using 300 Black outs w. suppressors on pigs.

Otherwise, no idea.

Idea is that if kept below the speed of sound
much easier to silence the crack, than a regular
faster speed bullet.

Adding To that concept we made a 585HE Whisper
that can use 1600 grain spire point bullet at 1050 fps
to be subsonice but yet have large energy.4000 ft lbs.
Got some hotrod guys working on chamber inserts taking our
585 case so as to have subsonic use in their overbore 14.9mm setups.
And they can still run 650 gr at 3000 with case and inserts.Ed

The suppressed 300 BO is a lot of fun. The impact on a steel gong sounds louder than the actual firing. It's also very reloaded friendly- brass can be formed from .223 & you can shoot everything from 110 to 220+ grain bullets.
