Lewis50350 Grain Speer for 416 Rem Mag
Well my Montana action 416 Rem is on the way to be teflon coated and the stock painted. I shot it with 80 grains of Rel 15 behind 400 grain Nosler partions and got clover leafs(3 shots) at 50 yards with iron sights and 1 1/4"(5 shots) at 100 yards with the scope. I'm sure the 100 yard groups will tighten up after I have time to learn the gun and play with the load. I have a box of Speer 350s to play with but none of my manuals list loads for them, does anyone have a pet load to share?

McCrayI use 81 grains of Reloader 15 under all the 400 and 350 grain bullets I've tried, including the Nosler and the Speer.
I can go faster with the 350 grain bullets, but 81 grains gives best accuracy, and about 2500ish velocity.

BigBulletI use 80.0 grains of R-15 for loading the 350 Speers and the 400 grain NP. For me it is very accurate and keeps the pressure/recoil/velocity in a managable range.
