Does anyone reload/shoot this? I am thinking about using cast bullets for this woldcat.

Unfortunately, the 510 whisper is a poor choice for cast bullet shooting. The whisper series use very fast twist barrels to stabalize the heavy subsonic jacketed bullets. The problem is, with cast bullets, the fast twist rips up the surface of the bullet, and you can't get any accuracy out of it. If you want a cast bullet round, consider the 500 Linebaugh, capacity isn't much behind the 510 whisper, and the brass is much less exspensive.

My 510 whisper barrel has a 1-10 twist. Will this rip up the bullet at 1050 fps? My main concern is the cost of the bullets I am using to delevop a good load and zero with. The brass will last a long time, but it will cost me about $1.25 a round to shoot with an AMAX bullet. I am thinking of using the nei 860 pointed tip bullet or the cbe 875 bmg bullet molds.

Look into a paper patched mould at NEI. I am new to casting and big bores but I am working on vegitable based sabots not unlike "thick" gauze-paper patches. A 1:10 might strip a patch loose given the inertia of 600 to 800 grains of lead, but that is far less a problem than stripping the surface off a bullet. Warning: INSPECT your barrel after each shot.

I will be using a suppressor on this rifle in the future, so I think paper patches are out. Thanks though.
