ACRecurveBesides Leupold
I'm looking for a new scope for my CZ550 404 Jeff. Leupold scopes (2.5x fixed, 1-4x, and 1.5-5x) are too short IMO for the long action. I know they will fit...but there is no room to move them forward or backward. I'm looking for either a fixed 1x up to 3x or a variable in the 1x-5x range. Must be 1" because the Talleys are engraved. Otherwise, I'm not interested in paying $1000 for glass. Any suggestions? Thanks.

cobradI see that Zeiss is now offering their Conquest scopes in the lower magnification ranges. Might could work for you. I have two of their scopes and am very happy with them.

PfeiferI heard that Leupold was supposed to reissue their beloved M8-3x. I have one and love it. It is longer in length and thus better suited for the long actions. I know of a few DGR nuts that collect these.

ACRecurveCobrad,
M8 3x would be my preference.
Pfeifer,
I'll look into the Ziess...had one before in 3x9 and liked it.
Fla3006,
Aren't all the Meopta scopes 30 mm tube diameter?
