Just shot a rifle using this sight Does anyone have any experience with this rear sight?

Thanks and Happy Turkey

Not easily adjusted for zero. I considered it for my 458B&M but went with the adjustable rear instead.

It's interesting being able to look through the sight it opens up your sight picture much like a peep Would probably pair it with a green fiber optic or a large white of gold bead. There is some reflection on the many sides of the sight but not that noticable my only concern would be how solid it would be..

My Chapius 9.3x74r had a similar factory rear on it. I didn't like it at all. Somehow it was distracting to me.

I tried one and it worked fine, you have to order a correct front sight as you cannot file it down..all in all its another damn gimmick in that the openned up rear sight leaf serves no purpose whatsoever except in the mind of some less initiated.

Sid-
I liked the idea of it but you have to know the correct height to order for the round you are shooting. If you shoot some loads at 2100 fps and others at 2500 fps it is going to be off. You would have to swap rear sights for each load. I realized you could probably get a better sight picture from a peep and it would be adjustable. I would still like to try tho.

Sid,
It's a lot easier to swap the front sight blade than the rear sight and a heck of a lot cheaper.

As to liking the idea, I have never seen the ideal in such a rear sight, it serves 0 purpose. They tried to convience me that I could see more buffalo with one, and to that I told'em "horsehockey", I ain't looking thru two tiny windows to see a buff..but to each his own.

I would not want one for no other reason than it is insidiously ugly. NECG makes some beautiful express sights as does Dakota. They would be my pick.

I'll stick with their Masterpiece...a great set of open sights.
