What is a simple bolt action?
For a solid modeling class I need to model and animate "something". I would like to do a simplified bolt action, what would be a nice simple design?

I don't need anything more animated than the bolt riding the raceways and locking into place. No trigger, firing pin, etc.

Winchester M1904. I cannot imagine any bolt action more simple than that one.

Yes any single shot bolt action .22 would be the model of simplicity.
Or a Bolt action shotgun.
