Here are a sample of some original RWS steel jacketed solids I have used in my Mauser 404J. The few I used on big Aussie buffalo seemed to work fine. Out of curiosity I sectioned one some years ago just to see what sort of reinforcing was in the nose. The side walls are thinner and I guess this ensures they will swage to fit undersized bores.
