OldsargeOn converting a Pedersoli . . . Pt. II
While I attempt to sell off my gun safe in order to add a double rifle to it, I continue to dream and ponder. I would rather use the .450 NE as my new rechambering to avoid having to buy a new press as well as the extra cost involved in buying .450 #2 brass. However, it comes to me that all the .450 NE brass that I see for sale (Bertram, Horneber, etc) all specifies
thin rim and I wonder what can be done, given the apparent difference between that case and the original 45/70. Has anyone else done this particular conversion or have all the experienced members here gone with the #2?
Your assistance is appreciated,

jeffeossoSarge,
as I understand it, the 450 NE has brass shortages from time to time, and varies on rim.
I "upgraded" to the rcbs supreme press, and for 99 or 106 bucks, I couldn't be happier
if you go with 1" dies, it's the same bushing as the RC3/5

pwmthe 45/70 have .608 rim dia. and the 450NE have a .626 rim dia, this may enough to give the rigth headspace for the bigger case.

<Timberghost>Jeffeosso,
Will the 450 #2 not fit in a standard Rockchucker?
Thanks,Ghost
