Go to "gebraucht waffen" section/button

It is not very often that a .600 NE is up for sale and this looks nice.

Cheers,

First, that is way too much money for a Ruger no. 1. US$1500 would be top end without a pretty fancy stock.

Second, it has been said that the threads of the Ruger are too small for the 600, leaving the chamber walls ultra thin. I wonder if the gunmaker drilled out the threads and cut new ones in order to leave the chamber walls thicker.

Third, the original Ruger stocks were of a recoil-accentuating design, making the larger calibers quite painful to shoot. I wonder if this rifle has a more comfortable stock setup.

For 4000 Eu. You can get a .600 OK built that holds 3-4 rds and is capable of much more power. Brass costs the same too. Personally, I looked at such a conversion on a Ruger#1 and while you can probably get away with it at std .600NE power levels ( 900 grs at 1950 fps) if somebody tries to hot-rod it, the chamber walls are way too thin and a very big problem may occur. The gun is way too light anyway and with a heavy barrel will handle like a garden hoe!-Rob
