Idaho Sharpshooterif you scope it, get one that will look nice in the ER. Use a peep or a DR red site.

Sorry it has taken me so long to post these.
If you click on these images it will take you to imageshack where you will see a bigger image. This is my 505 Gibbs, built on a Granite Mountain Arms Action by Fred Wells
This is a close up of the action, difficult to see because I got the light wrong,(photography is not one of my skills), but there are small covers that slide in when the scope is not in use, so that it looks like the standard double square bridge Mauser design with no scope.
At the shoulder.
Close up showing 4.9 inches of eye relief. It now has plenty of eye relief. I fired 20 round yesterday with no problems.

ozhunterThe German scope manufacture NICKEL make a 1.5-6x30MAGNUM with an eye relief of 125mm/4.9".
Would be a good option the big ones.

Thanks mate, If I decide to go back to a variable, then that is something I will definitely check out. I had a look at their website, and it looks like a quality bit of gear.
