Powder & Primers!
I thought the powder/primer shortage would begin to ease up a bit by now but heck, I can't find any at Graf & Sons, Powder Valley, Midway, or Midsouth. How long do you think this will go on?What's going to happen to the cowboy action guys? I hope I don't have to start shooting a muzzle loader.

At some point, these people are either going to run out of money, or determine they have what they want. May be another three to six months for that to happen though.

Cal:

That's what I don't understand. President Obama didn't press for any new gun laws in his first administration and he wasn't even successful in getting something as modest as universal background checks so the assault rifle ban is going nowhere. What the heck is everyone so worried about?

I talked to a guy from Hornady this morning. The are getting powder and primers for ammo because they buy on contract for large amounts well in advance. I think everyone needs to take a deep breath.

A recent Olin (Winchester) research report stated that they are back ordered nearly one year of sales on ammunition. Obviously this has a similar affect on all components.

As long as congress and the president get opening their mouths about more control.

Not sure if it's true or not, but I've read that DHS has been making some massive ammo buys that may be responsible for monopolizing some of the manufacturer's capacity:
