Hello,

I just saw a Leupold M8 3x20 for about $100 (15 y old).
I this the famous, indestructible one ?

I do not know.

I have several Leupold 2.5x compact. In matte finish, which is a little rough, the Leupold stays in the rings on my 585 nyati without sliding. I don't even need to use rosin or epoxy to hold it in.

The Leupold 2.5x compact is about $170 and as near indestructible as a scope can be. I highly recommend them.

The gold ring on the 1-4 leu is just 1/8 in front of the ring (warne), and i need to know if the tube is shorter on the 3x.

Maybe just a stupid question since You just stated that the 2.5 compact fits Your nyati.
