M70 375 H&H barrel contour
How much, if any difference is there in the contour of a M70 375 H&H barrel and the other magnum chamberings, e.g., 7mm, 300 WM, 338, etc.?

I have M70 that has been re-barreled to 9.3x62. Not sure what contour it is - 24". Looking for another stock (factory)and not sure what channel to look for. What is/are the muzzle diameter for 375 H&H, or magnums, if different?

I have a .375 and a 338 and the difference in barrel profile is dramatic. I could measure them if you like but if you got a stock to fit a .375 you would have a big ol' gap to fill up with somethin.

the 7mm, 300 and 338 mags have the same contour as the non-featherweigth 270/30-06 cartridges, being around 0.600 at 24"

the 375 is around 0.720" at 24"

Gent's thanks for the help. I thought the 375 was heavier, but wasn't sure. Lou

Here are the dimensions.

Pretty handy list to have around.
