hairbolSynthetic stock for 375 H&H length Whitworth Mauser
Has anyone put a synthetic stock on a 375 H&H length interarms mauser? I'm looking at the Hogue but am curious with the long magazine box if it will work? Please let me know if you have experince with a replacement synthetic stock and which one?

Charles_HelmThis is a Mark X pattern McMillan on an Interarms Alaskan .375:
It was one that they had on the shelf for a "magnum" Mark X. Additional work by the gunsmith was required, including inletting for the barrel recoil lug, inletting the action back farther in the trigger area, cutting the slot for the bolt handle, and surprisingly filling just a bit in front of the floorplate. No issues with the mag box as far as I know but it was not a drop-in fit.

fireball168The Mark X .375 length triggerguard wouldn't fit in the full-length bedding block Hogue I had due to the magazine extension.
Didn't try to modify, and its been long enough now I don't remember how much it was lacking.

driverHello,
I was under the impression that the Interarms Whitworth 375 HH action was no longer than a std. '06 action, but port/bolt area opened up, groove in front receiver ring, etc. and the mag box was enlarged. Is it a true magnum length action?? Can't see why there would be any real problems in fitting sythetic stock or wood for that matter.

hairbolThanks all! Full length block, stock showed up today. Other than a little interference near the sight the action drops in. I will grind a little clearance at the root to sight area of the barrel and get on with it.

jstevensI thought it should fit. The MkX and FN bottom metal is a bit shorter than the military Mausers where the double locking screws are. You can see the difference by eyeballing it. The one with the full bedding block probably wil cause a problem as the magazine is longer, but not the bottom metal.
