I still carry this S&W 625-3 for work every now and then. It is the only revolver I still have, and my favorite.

CannonHaven't been around this forum much for a while, but I couldn't resist posting mine. 500 Linebaugh Long built by Dave Clements:

No really big game yet, but I used it Saturday morning to take a nice little whitetail buck.

gwindrider1My personal favorite of late is a plain jane Ruger Redhawk in .44 Mag. w/5 1/2" barrel. It's not a very pretty handgun, but they are rugged and functional. Since I do most of my target/plinking work with a 1911, I mostly reserve the Redhawk for bigger thrills with heavy bullets and loads. I've never shot game with it, but do carry it stoked with 300 gr. XTP's when I'm concerned about being near bears. Penetration tests I've done with that load have been very impressive, although heavy hard casts are even more so.
There are so many large bore handgun rounds now that outclass the .44, a fellows choice is virtually unlimited; but a strong framed .44 is still a great all around defensive blaster, that with some practice, is masterable by just about anyone. Shoot straight-shoot often!

500grainsI wish someone made a titanium frame, snub-nosed .500 Linebaugh short (5 shot) for concealed carry use.

tiggertateNo, you really really don't. Trust me.

tiggertateHere's my 500. It was made by huntingcat. It shoots way better than I can hold.

445 supermagDPhillips, First of all what a beauty you have there
Kev, I am drooling on my work computer.
Guys you are all killing me. I love all of these things. I always thought my Dan Wesson 445 supermag was kind of special but with what you all have its making me feel kind of plain,
You guys have some beauties. Keep them coming.
Clements 500 might be in my future
