Illuminated reticle scopes on bigbores
I will be after a new scope for my 458 and am inclined towards a B&L 4200 1.5-6X . I was thinking maybe an illuminated reticle might be handy. Are there any scopes with ulluminated reticles which will handle 458 recoil reliably and dont cost the earth???

Not for more than 250 rounds if it has a muzzle brake....I don't want anything mechanical or battery powered on any of my DGR's, they have a bad habbit of going south when the chips are down. Simple is safty, a good 2.5 fixed is my idea of a DGR scope...in your case a Leupold 2.5X compact, it is the strongest scope in the world today...

Ray is right a 2.5x compact is the way to go your rig. I have three of the little buggers now and there great scopes.
