A-Square Rifle
I was down at my good friend's house today to pick up a rifle and saw that he had a 500 A-Square rifle to sell. I looked it over and was shocked to see that it was a "cock-on-closing" set up. Why would this be set up like that?
If interested in a 500 A-Square and components, call Russ Haydon at 253-857-7557.

Because it's built on an M1917 Enfield action, which cocks on closing. This was one of the Enfield's best features, and made it one of the fastest turn bolt actions ever made. Sadly, most sporters built on this action were converted to cock on opening.

My God, that's saying something good about an A-Square product, and that's almost certainly never happened before. Wink

gumboot458- The rifle was in good to very good condition with the only stock mark I saw was a nick in the forend on the bolt side in the rifle center of the checkering. If this sounds familiar then it was probably your gun. It had a built-in muzzle break also. Big, heavy gun.
I talked Russ out of one of the 600 grain Barnes solids for my collection. BIG BULLET!

.........I called and talked to Russ and his wife ,., It is not the same rifle , but sounds very good and I,m thinking about it .. I guess he is posting it today .......Who ever had it was smart enough to put a break on it ......it would be a powder puff to shoot with the break ....Comparatively Roll Eyes speaking ...
