Another .460 for me
Just bought this US made after foolishly selling my previous Japanese model.

RIP
IanD,
You have done well.
You now have the more effective Weatherby Accu-Brake, instead of the Pilkington muzzle porting of those old Japanese models,
like the one I bought from John Wahl Mercantile in Missouri in 1985.
That was my secong bigbore, right after the Ruger No.1 .458WinMag.

I traded that Japanese Mark V 460 Wby for a .375 H&H BRNO ZKK 602 with custom walnut stock, in Eagle River, AK, Boondock Sporting Goods, Don Hanks proprietor.

It was subsequently rechambered to 378 Wby.
Then it was rebarreled to ".510/460 Weatherby Improved Jenkins And Berry" (aka .510 JAB) with a McMillan stock and Wisner safety,
and most recently rebarreled to 12.7x68 Magnum Tornado (aka 49-10).

My favorite load with the 460 Wby was 115 grains of H4350 and any 500-grainer appropriate for task.
That gives 2500 fps and 1/2 MOA for 3 shots at 100 yards, in the factory Mark V.
Good enough for any game.

Do you have a thread protector for muzzle brake removed?

You can get the drop box bottom metal from the Weatherby Custom Shop for $155.
That makes for three down instead of only two,
in a straight stack. tu2

Pushfeed with a straight stack: A-OK. thumb

Thanks RIP. My last one shot very well with 115grs of IMR4350 and 500gr Hornady RN. Was getting 2550.

It wasn't too bad from the bench, but this one should be a tad more comfortable Smiler

That envy give me. The 458 Lott seems small, I would like to have a 460 Weatherby. Frowner
