I see that the Manson web site is being revamped, "under construction."

IIRC, the cost of a solid pilot reamer would be about $110 or $120, and the removable pilot reamer is $190. I like to get the removable pilot for future wildcatting possibilities.
A go guage is $50.

For instance: My .395 Tatanka reamer could be used with a .423 pilot to turn my .423/.338 Lapua Magnum into a .404 Tatanka.

This would be a full length .416 Rigby with 20-degree shoulder (instead of 45-degree), necked up to .423.

Presto: 404 Tatanka.

There exists a .416 Tatanka that is the 404 Jeffery necked down to .416, with the retro 8.5-degree shoulder. It is not the .416 Dakota, but similar, therefore.

If I ran my .395 Tatanka reamer with .416 pilot into the chamber of a .416 Rigby, I would have a .416 Rigby with 20-degree shoulder and slightly larger case capacity than the .416 Rigby.

Since the .416 Tatanka name has already been claimed, I would have to call mine the ".416 Rigby-Tatanka" or ".416 Lakota."

Crazy Horse and Sitting Bull would be proud.

RIP, Got the brass from Midway. The custom bullet swaging dies should be shipped to me this coming week. As far as reloading dies, I was waiting until my action was barreled and chambered, then send three fired cases off for the dies to be made. This is what I've done before with wildcats. Do you see anything wrong with this thinking? Do you have any preference as far as who makes the dies? I've got custom dies from RCBS, Hornady, and Redding. All have been very good, leaving me with no particular preference.

Since it is based on the new .375 Ruger case by Hornady, it might be best to go with Hornady for the .395 Ruger Max. I'll go there first too. They might be ready soon as you need them.

I'll have to get finished with the .395 Tatanka and .395 Ruger Max before I move on to the .395 RUMsveld.

Gerard has the .395 GSC in the works, based on the ubiquitous .375 H&H which he can find even in RSA.

.395 Squirrel rifles should be quite the craze this fall.
