.416 Remington Solids - Factory Ammo
Who, besides, Federal, makes factory loaded .416 Remington Solids?
I was looking for alternatives to the Federal Premium .416 Trophy Bonded Sledgehammer and so far I have not been able to locate one.

lawndartI have five boxes of factory Remington solids. They feature 400 grain Barnes solids over 78 grains of (I presume) RL-15. I shot a cull bison with one a couple years ago. The bullet didn't slow down until it ran into liberalism in western Oregon. I doubt that I'll ever use them. You can have them for what I payed for them. (Think wholesale cost from 1998).
Send an e-mail if interested or see the classifieds.

www.superiorammo.com and you will find several solids to chose from. I have found their loaded ammo to be excellent everytime I have used it, and I am an accuracy nut.

Good luck and good shooting.

GeronomoI also have several boxes of Remington brand .416 Remington Mags. I don't think Remington loads them anymore. Anyway the solids are 400 gr. Barnes monolithics and the softs are 400 gr. Swift A-Frames. That particular rifle is now a .458 Lott so I'll let them go pretty reasonably. Shoot me a PM if interested.
