Rob Haught458 SOCOM
Getting ready to give this a try. I've used it on a couple pigs and was impressed. Anyone else using this caliber?

jimatcative had a RockRiver for several yrs .. after a feeding issue with the 405 gr sp from corbon, its doing very good witht the 350 gr sps... in its initial loading, corbon had an issue with bullet ogive that caused feeding problems.. they have since corrected that and the factory stuff feeds great.... I had a choice between a bushmaster in .450 and the rockriver in .458 and i'm glad I got the .458... lots of bullet choices out there, and it whacks hogs with a thump... recoil is moderate, and it took several tries to get the correct recoil spring....another AR poster "tiggertate" has a remington bolt gun in .458 socom, his has the electronic ignition feature...

TonyRumoreI've been shooting the SOCOM since February of 2001.....that's when I made the first prototype rifle for it.....and got Peter Pi at CorBon to make factory ammo. It had a really slow start until Rock River picked it up.

lawndartTony,
Thank you for your hard work on this wonderful caliber.
It has been used in the sandbox here and there. Rumor has it that it puts a hole in a skull big enough to drive a hummer through.
