New AHR Dangerous Game Rifle ordered!
I just got confirmation of my order from Wayne Jacobsen for a new DGR. A .450 Dakota built on a CZ550 magnum action. Weight ten pounds. Twenty three inch barrel. LOP 13.75. Gunkote finish. Upraded stock to AAA fancy dark walnut with Fluer-de-lis checkering.

I blame CCMDoc for this. After I saw pictures of his .600 OK and .585 AHR, I just couldn't resist.

Wayne thought it would take till February because of the holidays and guns shows coming up. Yes, there will be pictures.

Wow, congrats! 3 to 4 1/2 months on a custom is pretty damn good! And to think that is what Bitterroot calls a delay! Those guys are doing very well!! Kudos to them!

Congratulations Dave! thumb

February ain't bad at all, imo. Some gun builders take much longer than that and charge much more and you still end up with a firearm that's not near as nice as what I've seen from AHR posted here. AHR seems to really have it together based on what I've seen.

I can hardly wait to get an AHR ordered myself. It will definately be after the holidays before I order but I keep trying to think of ways to accelerate that order ......a week here, a week there, etc! Big Grin

I'm sure your rifle will be the object of lust and desire for many dirty minded old riflemen! When you post your pics, make sure you only show her half naked, like with just her barrel or maybe just her buttstock sticking out from her rifle case......or maybe scantily clad in a garment of your choice that lets the viewer see her but not really.....kinda like a hottie that's showering behind a very thin shower curtain. Now......WHO WANTS A RIFLE? Eeker dancing

Seriously, the rifle sounds like a beauty in the making. I think that 10 pounds and 23" barrel sounds perfect for a .450 Dakota/.450 Rigby class dgr. Despite the dirty thoughts she'll be giving us, she'll be CLASS PERSONAFIED!!!! Cool

I also just ordered a DG 375H&H from Wayne yesterday. I had previously ordered a 375 H&H and 416 Rigby from Dakota Arms at SCI last January and was quoted approx 6 months for Delivery.

After several E-mails, a 10 month wait and without a confirmed delivery date, I cancelled the Rigby and 375 and ordered a 416 Rigby and 505 Gibbs from Ryan Breeding and a 375 H&H from AHR.

All actions will be Granite Mountain and received a delivery date of six months from Wayne and 16 months or less from Ryan,

I'am glad the Dakota deal fell through and think the three rifles will be of better quality then the Dakota's.
