GeorgeSRe: .375 Idea
Sell it and buy something else; re-barreling will cost about $500 (unless you can convince Weatherby to cover it).
Have you had the rifle looked at, to try to determine what the problem might be?

GeorgeSIndy,
The German Weatherbys (Colt/Sauer) were last produced in 1972, so I suggest you get it checked out. Call Weatherby back, and tell them the results of your test.
It could be a cracked stock, the crown, erosion in the bore, throat erosion, or something serious.

500grainsWeatherby won't help. There's no one working at Weatherby who even knows what a controlled feed action looks like.
Take it to a gunsmith.
Or if you want a .375, buy one. Converting the weatherby will be costly and will not provide the best result.
