Barnes banded flat nose solid
I just got a couple of boxes of the new Barnes 300 grain flat nose, banded solids and 300 grain TSX bullets delivered and what a difference in design!

The banded solids are yellow (brass looking) with a BC of .307 and a SD of .305 while the TSX flatbase are the copper color with a BC of .555 and a SD .305. The big flat nose on the solid looks like serious medicine!

Now, I just have to figure out some loading data for them. Does anyone know of any published data for these new for 2005, bullets?

I got some 400 grainers (Banded Solids) for my 416 Rigby. I've loaded some up using my 400 grain Barnes X load. Haven't had a chance to shoot them yet, but they feed real nice.

I talked to Clair Rees at Barnes and he suggested using data from any other source for the same bullet weight. Minus 10% to start with of course.
