Do you know how to adjust a Rigby Bolt Peep for windage and elevation? My rifle is shooting 5" high and 3" to the left.

I'm not Ralph but it should have a hole in the top of the peep apature that takes a very small Allen wrench in one model....The other one screws down as I recall...

Put the rifle out on the driveway, bolt side up. Run over the barrel with at least a Ford F-350.

This should correct the horizontal error. For the vertical correction, you are on your own.

Given that the bolt is a moving part, how accurate (repeatable) are those sights?

Thanks Alf, I was afraid I would have to drift it over in the Dovetail. I think I fixed the elevation. The actual peep has three notches in the left side that engage a leaf spring with a hook on it. As you turn the wheel it goes up four positions. I took it apart and someone had put the peep in backwards so that the notches did not engage in the middle positions. All the way up or all the way down. Now I can set the 100 yard? notch and see if that is the problem.

Mine is different from yours as the peep shaft is entirely inside the site and has a mark on the top of the wheel that rotates to corresponding marks on the site body for the different ranges.

I will post pictures latter for those of you I have totally confused. It seems like a much simpler and more reliable system than Hollands.

Thank you for your suggestion but as I do not have a F350 only an F250 I will try Alf's idea first.

If someone would machine a bunch of those I bet they would sell them in a big hurry! Is anything like it made now?

Would one of these be safe to use on a 375?

They have always looked like a nice setup to me but I've been kissed a couple times too many by scopes, I'd prefer not to have that happen with a peep. Is there a "Maximum safe caliber" or such that applies to these?
