Leupold Mark AR MOD 1 1.5-4x20mm P5 Dial Riflescope for a Big Bore?
Has anyone mounted this scope Leupold Mark AR MOD 1 1.5-4x20mm P5 Dial Riflescope on a Big bore rifle like a 416 rigby?

I like the idea of a 1" tube with illuminated reticle & the Leupold tech team have confirmed to me by email that it will work on the 416.

I would appreciate any info on this scope as it costs less than the 30mm model.

While I didn't use the Leupold AR scope, I did try a Burris XTR-14 on my .458 Lott. It was a 30mm with an illuminated reticle and worked like a charm.

Have used the plain old 1-4 Loopie on many hard kickers (10 bore, 12 bore slug guns, 400 & 375 H&H) with never a problem. It's not illuminated but bulletproof. Now I have switched to Trijicon 1-4 1" (discontinued ?) that has also stood up to anything tossed at it and has that big illuminated post that needs no batteries.
I believe the current version is 30mm 1.2-4.
