On the way to a two bore--
Look what I put together...1190HE..On the right in picture.

Bore 1.190 in, 5 in long, and belted. Left to right 458,

700HE. 4 bore, and 1190.We will be making a rimmed 2

bore from same case, 5 in long, a little bigger bore, and see what it looks like.If it works out it will be the

A&E 2 Bore(Al and Ed).. Ed.

Holey Jesus. What are you going to fire it in. I take it that its a custom action?

Something like a small cannon roller lock breech, or a falling block. We won't need a bolt action, which would have to be really huge, to load it up to full loads, and

up to pressures needing a bolt.In a bolt we could get that 4000gr brass

bullet that is in the case in the picture, out at 3000 fps.(80,000 ft lbs).1500 fps with a lighter

3000 gr bullet would still be 15,000 ft lbs. Our main

objective is to make an economical 2 bore case and action,

as well as for the 4 bore. This belted case is just a step

in the process, that I just put up for information about

what is possible when your a nut- like me.Ed.

Well we can see if fritz454's action he wants to design
would hold it.Ernie's barrels, that he will make our 4 bores from, are just big enough(2 5/8 dia), and
we can set up tooling for them.Or we could use 30 mm
surplus, reamed out and rifled for the 2 bore rimmed we
are working on now.It will be a little bigger diameter.
IE it will be within 7% the 2 bore nominal size, not like
the Eley 2 bore which is only a large 4 bore.Ed.
