PiviAre they new ? I have the 2009 Woodleigh catalog but they list the protected point , weldcore and FMJ bullets only
Even if their FMJ bullets could have the same behaviour as the monolithic due their very thick steel jacket

buffaloMichael458 has tested them - look at the terminal bullet performance thread -

zhabaHad a look at that forum but couldn't see the ones i am talking about. yes they are like anew monlithic solid which is what i would like to try in the 500 jeffery more so as a guy i know used the normal woodleigh solids in his and had deformation of the round on his elephant on a front brain shot which i was concerned about.Would use them in a double as that is what they are for so you don't get barrel issues but in the 500 woudl like a bit more?

Terminal Performance thread page #9 has the 400 gr Woodleighs I tested sent by Con. Heavier weights are being sent now and will be tested later.

zhabaThanks Michael, After i posted this I looked on the web page and to my disappointment found they are not made for the 404 or 500 Jeffery. I will ring and ask the question to see what i can get.never been happy with the barns "X" or solids in my rifles as the grouping has been shocking

Code4They don't list 9.3mm versions of this projectile but they are available. Woodleigh doesn't make them, just market them. Ask and you may receive.

Yes they are new as far as I know.

500NYes, I fired a couple through my WR 500/465 Double this year
as they (Woodleigh) wanted a couple of recoveries from DR's
so they made some up.
All reports I have heard from people who have tested / used
them have been good.
From my perspective, they Killed well, did they were supposed to,
worked as expected.
I'd use them in any of my guns including my DR's once I had
slugged the bores to make sure the gun's bores were the correct diameter.
I don't have any photos of the recoveries as they went back
to Woodleigh.
PS - I don't think 465 is a listed bullet diameter ATM but
I think it will be in the future.
