You might look for a used Interarms Mark X Whitworth or Alaskan. They're a little lighter and great rifles for the money. Charles Daly may be offering the 375 now, including stainless.

I agree that a used Interarms or Whitworth is better than many of the othe rifles mentioned. Or a pre-64 model 70 (they were only about $1500 last time I checked).

Even better, why not the following:

500, something tells me those cost more than an Interarms or a CZ! Seriously, who made them? The top rifle is especially beautiful. What kind of actions? Scope mounts are really nice.

GA, find someone with an FFL that knows which distributers have the best prices, you should be able to get a Syn mdl 70 for under 500 dollars. My FFL buddy found me a SS 300 ultra mag for 452 dollars to build a 404. My guess you could get a 375 for about the same price. You will more than likely have to pay whoever use about 10% but thats nothing compared to retail prices.

Look on gunbroker.com or simular site and you can find a list of FFL guys in your area.
