Chris, what do you mean, you just got this one in? Is it for sale or are you just privledged to fondle the piece?

I really like it.

From the heavy contoured barrel, to the quarter rib, to the drop box magazine, to the beautifully shaped birdseye maple stock.

What's the story?

Beautiful rifle, is Birdseye Maple strong enough to handle a 458 Lott? Maybe it has a lot of bedding & re-enforcement? jorge

It's for sale. It came up for sale several years ago, and I got it for a good friend of mine. He's pretty much done with the big African stuff and has told me to moove it on.

I really like the design of that rifle. That is my favorite stock design for the Lott and the one I will get the stockmaker to make on my second custom Lott. Is there a name for this design?

Hey new guy,
Is that note signed by Lon Paul? Did he build it?
I have heard he was good friends with Lott and helped develop the 458 Lott.
Does Lon Paul get credit for this beautiful rifle?????

Speak up, do tell.

Yes, it was purchased from Lon. I don't believe Lon built the rifle. He lurks around here from time-to-time... maybe Lon will join in and answer the question re: who actually built the rifle.
