Leupold Illuminated Ret. Scopes on Big Bores
Has anyone used a Leupold 1.5-5x Illuminated Ret. scope on a 458 Lott or bigger? If so did you have any problems? I keep thinking this might be a good idea for my DGR if they can handle the recoil. I have a RSM 416 Rigby,458Lott & 500 Jeffery that are in need of some optics. I like the aimpoint idea but see the benefits to a little maginification sometimes also.

Thanks Brad

cz 550 458 lott. About 50 rounds so far with no problems.

If you own a gun and you are not a member of the NRA and other pro 2nd amendment organizations then YOU are part of the problem.

I put one on my 458Lott RSM and it puked after a couple hundred rounds, sent it back and they fixed it, still workin' after about another 50 rounds. We'll see????

Thanks so far for the info. I think that the added weight in the rear bell in combination with a heavy recoiling round might be more that the little scope was built for. Just a thought?

I have a swaro illuminated on my 458, you pretty much have to leave it on all day, you won't be able to turn it on when you need it. I like the heavy duplex a bit better, but often thought about putting one of the smaller eotechs on.
