Very nice.
What, or whose, stock is that? Factory, custom?

Oval cheek piece!!! LOVE IT !!! dancing
Who made that stock? LOP? Bbl length?
Empty weight? Any plans for fine tuning
it in any way, perhaps straightening the
bolt handle for example?
NICE RIFLE! tu2

Very nice rifle. I just love my Kevlar stocked CZ550 in 416 Rigby.

Nice Leupold scope too - is that a 1.5-6X?

Looks like a very nice rifle that one wouldn't be afraid of dragging through the brush and thorns or a soaking rain.

Hey GH,

I got confused. I saw BLACKTAILER'S photo and
his rifle has a bent bolt handle; I criss-crossed
your photos and his in my brain, and asked ab-
out straightening your BH. So now that I'm passed
my mix up.....

Please say why you like the straight BH over the
bent back BH, just as a learning point for me. I
know guys say different things about this topic.
I know that I like the look of the straight BH
myself. I'm not experienced with DG though, and
I don't know if with larger calibers, one is fav-
ored over the other STATISTICALLY by hunters of
the Big Six. (Hippo on land = 6)

I need to contact Allen Martin about my future
stocks for my bolt action rifles then. Thanks for
his name! {Love that OVAL C.P.!!!}

D R,

There's an issue that one needs to ponder regarding a bent or straight bolt handle.

The reach to a straight bolt handle is approximately 1/2" longer than the reach to a bent bolt handle. This raises the issue of how that 1/2" affects both your LOP and the eye relief of your scope.

No checkering, deliberate no, or not available when making the stock?

Nice setup though, I like it.

That sir is about the nicest looking synthetic stock I've ever seen on a 550. Congrats and thanks for sharing.

Do you know if Mr Martin is planning on doing more of these? It seems his primary interest is Kentucky longrifles.
