Idaho Sharpshooterfound the Kynoch Holy Grail....
Rummaging around at a local shop this morning I found a small treasure trove of original 1950's-60's Kynoch ammunition and some bullets.
1. one each sealed 20-round tin of Kynoch .500/465 soft nose 480gr.
2. ditto, 318 WR.
3. Kynoch old cardboards slip top boxes of .500/465 480gr solids (bullets) with cannelure about 1/8" from base
there are three 100round boxes and one with a few bullet missing. They are in little separate slots, like
they used to package ammunition here, in the pre-styrofoam era. $100 per 100-round box.
Box says Mfg at Eley-Kynoch Factories of Imperial Metal Industries (Kynoch) Limited
Witton. Birmingham, England
4. Two fifty round packs of ten 5-round packs .450/400 3" sealed in wrapping paper. $600 per fifty.
5. Kynoch .500/450 #1 2 3/4 BPE ammunition marked "Cordite" paper-patched bullets.
6. ditto only 3 1/4" cased.
7. Maybe 100 rounds of Holland's .240 Flanged Nitro Express. Marked "for double rifles."
PM me if you have any interest in any of this stuff and I will send you the sellers phone #.
hope this helps someone out there.
regards,
Rich
