Very sad news. Dave and his family will be in our prayers.

So sorry to hear this. Have known Dave here on AR for a long time. Too many have died from Cancer in all it's forms. I've devoted my life to developing drugs against it. Most of them have only helped a little bit. The work continues!- Rob

Dave lost his battle on Sunday morning.

I'm glad I got to meet him last year and talked to him a few times since. Most definitely a good man.

Having been a member of AR long enough to have seen this many times now...It reminds me of really how short life is.

I am ~50 years old and I still have the heart of a 20 year old (figuratively) but am reminded each day when I bend over and pick up that first horses foot that I am not (and I am hopfully a little wiser too).

I see my father whom once was a mountain of a man not able to go and do as he once did. Once my greatest hunting buddy.

I just pray that in the short little stent that we all do have left that we all manage to use it wisely, leave no regrets, have fun, remember whats important, and give Him thanks for all.

Rest in Peace Dave. While I never met you in person...I felt like you were family...actually you were...you were part of my AR family.

Dave's posts raised some hackles for sure, but I'd be lying if I didn't say I'd just as often find myself nodding in agreement. Was a fellow I would have like to have known in person.

Sad news indeed. Dave and I started off a few years ago a little rough and rocky. Dave had his opinions, and of course I have mine! However, over time we not only found ways to get along, we became friends even though we never met in person. Dave would send bullets for me to test for him, and I gathered several packages of different bullets for him to try and sent them to him. This became common between the two of us. In the beginning Dave just seen no reason at all for a short rifle, at least until he got one of the short Rugers, then he was a fan from that point on....LOL Dave always liked to stir the conversation a bit, and of course I would fall for it every time....

Like Lane, Dave was part of our AR Family, We will miss you Dave, I will miss you, save a spot around the pot belly stove for us, and keep the fire stoked, we will be along shortly and continue some of those discussions of ours............

Reading the comments posted by people that had never met Dave, like me, will bring tears to some eyes. He must have been a very good man. I hope that God holds him dear.
