MasteriflemanGood luck! I even called Winchester to find out when the "season" for .458 brass was (since MidwayUSA indicates its seasonal) and couldn't get a straight answer from them. Fortunately, a friend (very good friend) purchased as a Christmas present, 100 Remington 458's for me on e-Bay and it cost him $101.00.

22WRFI think Cabelas carries it at their retail stores. A bit expensive that way, but if you need it you need it.

SnowwolfeWhy not just buy Lott brass and cut it down in the case trimmer?
My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

MasteriflemanFor those of you who are pointing out all the available .458 WINMAG brass, I guess an explaination is in order. I have seen all the A-Square and Norma brass available. I have seen the auctions on e-Bay for it and they always go way up in price at the last minute. I think those of us (at least me) who are complaining of its lack of availability are talking about the domestic brands that are listed at less than Rolls-Royce prices. As much as I love the AR forums, I am particularly impressed by those many members who seem to have a large amount of discretionary funds. I am "po folk" as I know many others are, and $31 to $40 per 20 is more than I will pay for it. Yes, Hornady .458 LOTT brass is available for a reasonable price and one can quite reasonably trim it to .458 WINMAG length.

Rick RThe Techs at Hornady said I could trim the "Basic Belted Brass" down to .458 Lott length, I'd guess you could do the same for WinMag. I believe it was $10.00/50 cheaper than the Lott brass, depends on if it is worth your time on the trimmer.
