AtkinsonRe: CZ 375 factory sight zero
I normally just drag out my file, and file the one standing sight in, either in front or in back...
I have some little plastic post type front sights that have a dovetail on the bottom that I use to sight in with. snip them off to zero with wire cutters or file..I can cut them to any height..When sighted it I measure the plastic sight and purchase a real sight of the same height.
I can't remember where I bought those plastic front sights but they sure work great..I think they came from that guy in Texas that makes peep sights for lever action rifles???

maxmanAnyone know what ammo (or at least the performance parameters) is used to zero the factory express sights on the CZ's? I put my deposit down on a 375 H&H American last week, and I was going to pick up some ammo for it - but I'm not sure what flavor to get. I plan on scoping it next year after researching proper optics a little better, but would like to start shooting it with the regular iron sights when I pick it up. The express leaves are not the most adjustable sights I have used, but I do lke the picture looking through them. thanks, maxman

AtkinsonIt won't make any difference, pick the ammo you like and intend to use, then sight the gun in yourself...One has to sight a gun in to his personal eye prescription and how he holds the rifle etc. etc.....You can do that with the first box...

nainitalMy own Brno ZKK 602 came with a target from the factory quoting a Sellier & Bellot ammo in 270 grains. Czech stuff of reasonable accuracy.

nainitalIve also used Winchester Power Point factory ammo with the same POI.
Good luck

maxmanThanks Ray. I did know that much already - but I'm not sure on adjusting elevation on this unit. The front sight is a fixed blade and the rear sight are the express leaves in a dovetail. Windage is no problem, but not sure about elevation. Unless it's just not a big concern. I imagine that the 270 and 300 gr bullets do have a different POI, and was just curious if anyone knows what ammo the factory uses for initial sight settings. I'd bet it's a European brand with 270 gr bullets, but wasn't sure. maxman
