.470NE trajectory & ballistics? groups?
Can anyone give me some specs for this caliber; trajectory out to 150m and more importantly, what sort of accuracy to expect at 25, 50, & 100 meters from a quality double rifle?

The Swift Manual #1 lists the following for the 470 NE. 500 Gr. Swift A Frame at 2100 FPS

50yds +1.3"
100 Yds +1.9"
150 Yds 0
200 Yds -4.6"

My Kreighoff 470 shoots a 2" group, 1" high at 75 yds.

Most doubles shoot 3 to 4" groups at 50 yds. and that is good enough for what they are intended to do....Simply put they are a 50 yard gun...

I have a double that shoots 1" at 50 and 100 yds off a bench...shoots all loads to the same POI..I have kept it for that reason alone.....

Doubles are specialized DGR's.....

I wouldn't have a double that shot an 8" group at 100 yards either. Much too sloppy. Incompetent regulating. 4" max. [Smile]
