AntlersRuger rings on big bores
I'm fixin to buy a #1 in 375 and was just wondering about how the factory rings handle recoil from the big bores. I know the rifles are available in 416 and the Lott, so some of you folks have dealt with this. Do y'all use these rings or something else?

UrodojiI replaced the Ruger rings that came with my M77 VLE with a set of Leupolds. The Ruger rings were too low anyway, and I thought the Leupolds were alot higher quality. The torx head screws on the Leupold rings are a bit more reassuring as well.

Paul BAntlers. I haven't had any problems with the Ruger rings on my #1 in .375 H&H. They've held up just fine for me.

My Ruger rings on my #1 458 Lott have held up just fine.

MingbogoI have also replaced all my Ruger factory rings with Leupold rings. There is nothing wrong with the Ruger's but Leupold's rings are better for me. Thanks.

Bill/OregonAntlers: The Ruger rings worked fine for me on a .375, a .416 Rigby and a .458 boared to .450 NE. So did the old steel Weaver K 2.5.

AtkinsonThe Ruger Rings are extremely strong and can't be beat by any other brand for handling recoil and just plain toughness...but they are not QD unless modified and thats simple enough....You can also replace the Ruger screws with Torx screws if you like.
