700 AHR Cast bullet source
Hey, does anyone know a source for cast lead bullets, or a mold to make them, for Wayne's 700 AHR. The caliber is actually .685. I just got mine in Monday, and don't want to plink and familiarize myself with it while shooting the lathe-turned solid brass bullets Wayne has made for them. I'll wind up digging them out of the backstop, being as cheap as I am!...Biebs

Tyler KempLBT can make molds up to 8 gauge, he told me.
Love shooting precision and long range. Big bores too!
Recent college grad, started a company called MK Machining where I'm developing a bullpup rifle chassis system.

RobgunbuilderAccording to AHR the bullet diameter is .685 and I'll assume the diameter accross the lands is .675. You will need to make sure of the barrels diameter cross the lands. You will want a mold that will produce a .686 bullet, no more than .001 over the bore diameter with the alloy you want to use. I'd call LBT, Mountain molds or NEI for a custom bullet of 1000gr. If you need a design, feel free to PM me.-Rob

msheikBrooks moulds will also do a custom mould.
Hey, Thanks guys. Wayne is sending me some that he had made (1,200gr!!!) and has an order coming in July. BTW, If you value customer service, quality, and follow-through, Wayne and AHR can't be beat.
