416 reloading question?
Now that Northfork bullet is back in buisness, who has a starting load for the 416 rem using the NF 370 bullet and RL-15? My Barnes book has a starting point of 71 gr for their 400 gr, but don't show a RL load for their 350 gr. Thanks!

Not a starting load, but 81 grains has been a good load

The North Forks have been a little touch to load at least for me. In some rifles I need 2-3 grains less powder for the same velocity. In others it uses the same load as a Nosler. They must be a little sensitive to bore dimensions or something. Just start low, they are a great game bullet.

I have been loading my .416 Rem in Model 70 Winchester with the Northfork 370 grain bullets and RL-15 at 80 grains for five years now. It chronos at 2400 fps plus and served me extremely well in the Selous on Buff. Good shooting.
