Remington .375 H&H Factory load powder help needed...
Any idea which powder Remington uses in their Premier Safari loads in the .375 H&H?

I pulled the 300 grain Swift A-Frame and the powder is spherical, around 68.5 grains or so.

My .375 H&H prints these into one large hole for 5 shots and I'd like to duplicate the load.

I assume the primer is Remington Large Rifle Magnum.

In my Sako I use IMR 4350, 76 grains. 300 grain swift a frame. Shoots to the same point of impact as the Remington safari ammo, with the 300 grain swift A frame.

NYrifleman Factory loaded ammo is usually loaded with non-canister grade powder so you may never be able to duplicate the exact load. However I would suggest you try W760 powder in your 375 H&H. I would bet you will come pretty close. Start with recommended starting loads for the 375 and work up carefully. Good luck.

A 375 that will not shoot well with 78 grains of 760 and 300 grainers usually has a problem.

I have owned a lot of 375s and have been directly involved with many others and 78 grains 760 and 300 Hornady round nose has been the testing load. 300 Sierra has also been good but I have not seen it used in as many rifles.

Have only shot the Swift A Frames to a very limited degree and that was years ago and in 375, 378 and 460 and they shot with the same loads used with Hornadys and also seemed to shooot to about the same point.

In a 375 and esecially with the 270 grain bullet I have found that Reloader 15 is the powder most likley to offer the best combination of accuracy and velocity.
