Technical question for expert
H guys! I hv shoot many of the moos with with my .177 Titmouse Magnum (.177/.300 Wby) and they always die with much complaining but they don't get knocked down with the energy. If I get the .177 Tyrannosaur (.177/.505 Gibbs) wil the moos get knocked down? It makes the 1.1 g (17 gr) bullet go 2000 mps (6500 fps) and gives much energy push (1625 pound-feets). The moos only weigh 400 kg (880 pound on four feets).

Some buddy who know?

That would be a great combination till the 5th shot and your barrel's rifling no longer exists.

Such specialised equipment is not required for killing moos (steer). We just tie them to a post and use a 45ACP to the brain. No sense in spoiling the beef with body shots.

I don't think the 505 has enough powder capacity for a .177( or .17) you should look at a 50BMG case. If you really want to use the 505 case maybe you should look at a .14/505Gibbs.

And remember "speed kills" ( this is from an add campaign here in Aus about road deaths)

I'm still pissed that they stopped building my ultimate gun down in Texas (?) a few years back. That linear accelorator would have been the cat's meow! A proton at near the speed of light, now THAT's a flat shooting SOB!

I have 2 technical questions:

1. What's the ballistic coefficient of a proton?

2. How do you make the "a" with the little dots above it?

Hll again! Thank you for the much expert know how!

BBS, I will build the .177/.50 BMG gun and now the ms will be knocked down and not complain so much as before.

Old4x4, I am thinking you are right. If the ms weigh 880 pounds on four feets (only 220 pounds on each feet) then if he gets hit with the 1.1 g Sako bullet which makes the 1625 pound-feets he must go more than 7 feets! Many time the ms trots across the bog on two feets and he is hard to knock down because he weigh more on two feets. Yes?

Make the by typing the alt and u together than type the a.

Atkinsn is very a old Baltic name. I am thinking that Ray is a very old ancestor maybe of mine.

Thank you all again for the much hlp! Gd jag!

For moos you need to get wit Craftsman as he recently neck a 50 Cal. machine gun case to a phonograph needle and shoots his moos wit a Runger N.2.....he sez it kill better mit di solid.
