600 5744 Plinker loads
Anybody have any pet loads for their 600's using XMP5744? I've got a pound to burn up & I want to load some 800grns into my 600JDJ without fillers if possible.

I don't have any data for 5744 powder. I would think it would make a good plinking load. Do have some loads with Trail Boss.

Let us know what you come up with.

HI Wayne---will do. I see Accurate lists 54 grs for a 700grn in a 550 so that a start. I've e-mailed them for their recomendation. What load you using with Trail Boss?

5744 works quite well in these big cases and requires no filler. I'd try 60grs-70grs with an 800gr bullet and go from there.-Rob

Thanks Rob,
I did test 60, 65, & 70 grns in a 1 round firing. The 60grn left a fair amount of powder residue in the barrel. The 65 & 70 looked & felt good so I'm testing a few of each for speed & accuracy next.
