Bill/OregonNew M70, .375 H&H
Finally got to the range with my new Carolina Winchester and am pleased to report it handles and shoots as well as it looks. I only had time for a few shots as my main purpose was dialing in a new flintlock, but I put three shots in 3/4 inch with two touching offhand at 25 yards as fast as I could work the bolt and settle the bead (iron sights, still). Surprisingly milder recoil than other .375s I have had, which means to me that this rifle simply fits me very well. And I continue to be very impressed with the new Model 70 triggers.
Will give it more of a wring out when I get it scoped.

chuck375Good to know! I promised to buy my oldest son a 375 H&H when he finishes his 4 year tour with the Rangers. He is a lefty though. Hopefully a left handed new M70 is in the works. In his first week of basic they handed him an M16, he asked "Do they make a left handed version?" The drill sargent responded drily "yeah they look just like the right handed ones ..."
